William "Bill" Oliver was born 19 March 1924 at Copp Hospital, Cambridge, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, son of Oliver Haswell James and Rachel Winch Edwards[7]. On 22 October 1954 William married Elsie Birket.[8]
Bill joined the army in 30 Oct 1942 for the duration of the ware plus six months[9]. According to William he served in the Pacific during the war. During his service, he was dropped onto the wrong island and was bit on the hand by a snake, an injury which limited the use of his hand his entire life. The intended island which wasn't supposed to have venomous snakes and so he was lucky that anyone had the antivenom available to save his life.
After the war, Bill went on to become a Baptist Missionary to Japan where he met his wife Elsie Birkett. They established a church in ??? where he ministered until he retired in ???.
William retired to Aurora, Colorado where he lived until his death in ???.
