However we can calculate that our Nancy Hickox would have been about 20 years old at the time of this marriage, which seems reasonable for the time.  According to the 1850 census <ref>1850</ref>David Hickox's and family did reside in ware county.  The 1860 census asserts David Hickox's family lived in Pierce Count<ref>1860</ref>.  Pierce County was created December 18, 1857, from Appling and Ware counties <ref>{{citation |title=Pierce County, Georgia |last =Wikipedia contributors, |publisher=Wikipedia, The Free Encyclopedia |url=http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Pierce_County,_Georgia&oldid=619174090 |date=30 July 2014 UTC 18:39 | accessdate =21 Oct 2014}}.</ref>, as a result, I believe the Hickox family did not move and the marriage index is consistant with what we know of Nancy.
