Mr. Jimmie H. Crews, 74, of Folkston died Monday, February 16th in Charlton Memorial Hospital after a short illness. He was a native and life long resident of Folkston and was the son of the late Ira and Allie Crews. Mr. Crews was a member of Sand Hill Baptist Church and was a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II. Mr. Crews' survivors include: wife, Myrtie Lee Sikes Crews of Folkston; 3 sons, Norman Crews of Folkston, Mickey Crews of Pheonix, Arizona, and Rickey Crews of Folkston; 5 daughters, Ineva (Rayford) Hilton of Folkston, Minta Marie (Ken) Fung of Burlington, Washington, Latrell (Billy Joe) Murray of Folkston, Janice (Joe) Kuehner of Folkston, Delania Crews of Folkston; 13 grandchildren, 1 step-great grandson, and 3 step-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Ethel Carter of Jacksonville, FL, Bessie Lawry of Preston, GA, Omega Hewitt of Stanton Island, NY, and Margaret Farnham of Jacksonville, Fl.; 1 brother, Alvin Crews of Folkston. Graveside services will be held Thursday, February 19, in Sardis Cemetery, , Burke County, Georgia,United States at 11:00 a.m. The family will receive friends Wednesday between the hours of 6-9 p.m. at Shepard Funeral Home.
