Another more modern marker has been placed ajacent to the headstone mentioned above<ref>http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=33589407&PIpi=24139278</ref>. It is clearly legible, and appears have been placed near the headstone several years after the origonal headstone.

It is clearly legible, and appears have been placed near the headstone several years after the original headstone. Because the origin of this contemporary marker are unknown and it appears to be several years newer than the original marker it is impossible to determine it's accuracy or reliability. This source should be treated as secondary.

He was enumerated on 10 June 1880<ref>{{Citation:1880 Federal Census including Hickox family.jpg/Citation Listing}}</ref>, and the official census date was 1 June 1880<ref>{{Citation |title=1880 Overview |url=https://www.census.gov/history/www/through_the_decades/overview/1880.html |accessdate = 30 August 2014}}</ref>. The informant is not recorded and all information should be considered secondary.
Using the official census date (1 June 1880) suggests a birth date between between 02 Jun 1817 and 01 Jun 1818. It is also possible the informant stated their age based on the day they were interviewed (10 June 1880). If this was the case it suggests a birth date between between 11 Jun 1817 and 10 Jun 1818.
