The 1850-1880 show 52, 62<ref>{{Citation:1860 U.S. Federal Census - Georgia, Pierce County, 9th District - Hickox.jpg/Citation Listing/David Hickox}}</ref>, 73, 83<ref>{{Citation:1880 Federal Census including Hickox family.jpg/Citation Listing}}</ref>, respectively, wich puts the birth between 1797-1798.

Another more modern marker has been placed ajacent to the headstone mentioned above<ref>http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=33589407&PIpi=24139278</ref>.  It is clearly legible, and appears have been placed near the headstone several years after the origonal headstone.  

Another more modern marker, which origin is unknown, has been placed adjacent to the headstone mentioned above<ref>http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=pv&GRid=33589407&PIpi=24139278</ref>.  It is clearly legible, and appears have been placed near the headstone several years after the original headstone. Because the origin of this contemporary marker are unknown and it appears to be several years newer than the original marker it is impossible to determine it's accuracy or reliability.  This source should be treated as secondary.
