She was also preceded in death by her first husband, {{has spouse|name=Cager Crews}}; her second husband, {{has spouse|name=Stevenson Manor}}; a son and daughter-in-law, {{has person |name=Benjamin Crews (1945) |alt=Benny Crews}} and {{has person |alt=Brenda Morgan Crews |name=Brenda Sue Morgan}}; two grandsons, {{has person |name=James E. Mrs. Laveta was a member of {{member of church|Riverside Chapel Baptist Church}} for 45 years. She was a devoted  mother and grandmother and loved by everyone who knew her . Mrs. Laveta loved cooking, word searches, reading, gardening, and was a member of the Senior Citizens Center who she enjoyed going out to eat with. She was a retired nutritionist from Brantley County School System.
