Benjamin "Benny" Crews
April 20, 1945 - July 7, 2014

Nahunta - Benjamin "Benny" Crews, 69 of Nahunta, passed away Monday (July 7, 2014) at Avante Rehabilitation Center, in [[|Jacksonville, FL.]], following an extended illness. Born in [[|Hickox, GA]], his parents are the late Cager Crews and Laveta Rozier Manor, of Nahunta. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Brenda Sue Morgan Crews. Benny served in the United States Army and worked many years as a truck driver for Union Camp. He was a member of Teston Lake Fishing Club. Survivors include 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Template:Has person Benjamin Darren Crews (Clarissa), of Nahunta, and Emory Crews, of Nahunta; a daughter, Camille Harris, of Nahunta; 7 grandchildren, Taylor and Amelia Crews, Amory, Greyson, and Brexton Crews, Holt Crews, and Benley Harris; 2 great grandchildren, Montana Crews, and Hudson Crews; his mother, Leveta Rozier Manor, of Nahunta; a brother and sister-in-law, Rev. E.C. Crews (Carolyn), of Hickox; 3 sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy Johns (Rev. Ion), of Hickox, Bonnie Simmons (Darrell), of Orlando, FL., and Emmie Lou Griffin (Ray), of Hickox. Also several nieces, nephews, and other relatives. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening (July 9, 2014) starting at 6PM, at Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday morning (July 10, 2014) at 10AM at Frye Funeral Home with Rev. Randy Wainright and Bro. Robert Johns officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ryan Chesser, Terry "Bimbo" Harris, Fred Albritton, Wesley Albritton, Kevin Johns, and Billy Crews. Arrangements are with Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
