Mary Hickox, 69, 
former teacher 

  Mary C. Hickox, 89, of Marietta, 
died Monday. 
  Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday 
at First Presbyterian Church of 
Brunswick with the Rev. Dan 
Thomas officiating. Burial will be in 
Green Lawn Cemetery in Waycross. 
  Mrs. Hickox was a teacher in the 
Glynn County school system for 
more than 30 years and was past 
president of the Georgia PTA. 
  Survivors include one daughter, 
Marylyn Murray of Marietta; two 
sons, David G. Hickox of Marietta 
and Capt. O.J. Hickox of the U.S. 
Navy at Burke, Va.; two sisters, 
Sadie McLean of Raeford, N.C., and 
Madeline Culberth of Waycross; and 
one brother, Jack Culbreth of Way-
cross. 
  Contributions may be made to the 
Mary C. Hickox Memorial Fund in 
care of Trust Company Bank in 
Brunswick. 
  Roswell Funeral Home is in 
charge of arrangements.
